The National Premier Leagues Queensland unit will take on lower league side Maroochydore at Kuluin on Saturday and while it is only a pre-season trial, Arnison wants his charges to make a statement. "The results aren't (overly) important at this stage (of the year), but it would be nice to put one o..>> view originalSOAP BOX: Parting with possessions means saying goodbye
I'VE never been too good at letting go of things. This made it exceptionally hard last weekend to clean out the home of my uncle Kevin, who recently passed away. What made it even harder was he had the exact same problem. Oil cans from the 1970s, wedding congratulations from the 1950s, even newspaper clippings from when Queensland won its first Sheffield Shield in 1995 were all piled into a shed filled with memories. Who was I to judge what should be kept and what should be thrown aw..>> view originalSunshine Coast stalker given more time to prepare appeal

THE Federal Government has got to be kidding if it thinks it is in anyway justified in refusing Labor access to secret volumes of the Heydon Royal Commission into union commission and then offering them to select cross bench Senators whose votes it needs. Fair enough if the government wants to bring back the Australian Building and Construction Commission but it can't pick and choose who it shows the evidence that demands that action. Yes there are union officials who are corrupt but they ..>> view originalLNP MPs on Coast for planning
