ARMENIAN weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan was a real medal hope in the men's 77kg weightlifting final earlier today. However as the disturbing footage opposite shows things didn't go to plan at all. Karapetyan was attempting to lift 195kg in the clean and jerk when his elbow gave way. The eye watering injury left him screaming in pain as a number of attendants rushed to his aide.
